How I managed to quit smoking (but not nicotine).....

After 7 years on nicotine replacement, I decide that I have had enough of munching on nicotine gum, sucking on lozenges and sticking patches on my chest to get my fix of the Evil Nicotine. My gum habit has started to give me jaw muscles so big I look like Lou Ferrigno and I realise I'm spending almost as much on NRT as I did on cigarettes. After yet another "sneaky one" at a party-which turns into half a packet- I'm at my wit's end. How could quitting smoking be so tedious?

A few days later a friend says he recently tried something called an "e-cig" or electronic cigarette. I had heard about this a few years back and thought it was a gimmick. He tells me the device looks and feels like a real cigarette and that it gives you a throat hit just like a real cigarette...it even produces smoke, or something which looks like smoke. With nothing to lose but my dignity, I decide to give it a try and start doing a few searches online for a basic kind of "entry level" device. I eventually find a starter kit made by a company called Gamucci.......
